George and family,
What wonderful memories you must have...I can still hear Lee's infectious laugh and loved hearing her stories at GB gatherings. The world needs more teachers, friends, and advocates like Lee. Our sympathies to you all.

To Leona's loved ones, of whom I would imagine there are many. I had the
priveledge of working w. Leona at LaFargeville for 10 years. Joy was written on her face and in her heart. Kids flocked to her room for the simple reason they were welcome and their art was the product. Magnificent. Our wolrd was brightened by her smile, example and style.

I was fortunate to first meet Leona at Henderson Elementary in the 1980s. We became life long friends, sharing stories about family and friends, and of course our common views on the political world. There weren't many Democrats in our area so our common views led to many great discussions. Sandy and I had dinner with Leona and George just two days before she died. She seemed good and was as sharp as ever. We will definitely miss her, she was one of a kind, a truly memorable person.

Dear Lord Jesus, You blessed us with a wonderful teacher. With All that her hands could do, she has done. She inspired so many thru the beauty of Art, with grace and love for her students. I am so thankful and blessed to not only have been a recipient of that special gift, but to have my son who also experience that same gift. God bless you Mrs O, You will always be in our hearts.

Mrs. O'Sullivan was my art teacher in the early 1970's at Lyme. I was only there for two years but I will never forget her. She was my first inspiration to become an art teacher, a career I have loved for over 20 years now. Thanks Mrs. O'Sullivan. ♡♡♡

Your mother was the best! She truly cared about everyone. The students that were lucky enough to be taught by her will always remember her kindness. When I told my sister Amy of her passing she said that she recently was looking at a pin that your mother gave her in 1981. It made Amy happy to look at it because it evoked memories of being taught by her. I hope that gives you an idea of her lasting impact.
