William Earl Shaffer

William Earl Shaffer, 85, passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Morning Star Care Center in Oswego.
William was born February 6, 1933 in Carthage, NY to William I Shaffer of Johnstown ,Pa. and Erma Dimock of Carthage, NY. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1952. William was married to the late Eleanor (Anderson) Shaffer. She died in 1975.  He was retired from General Electric and was an avid hunter, fisherman and coin collector.
William is survived by his sisters Marie Brown, Liverpool, NY; Judy Shaffer Piersall, Camden, NY, Jeanette Zufelt, Pulaski, NY a brother Lyle Clyde Shaffer and his wife Patricia of Skaneateles., A nephew Ron Zufelt of West Monroe. He had no children but had many nieces and nephews and a great great nephew Grayson Cole Zufelt.
There are no services at this time. Burial will be At Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell, NY in the spring.
