Rosalie Ann Walters Zufelt, 84 of 3398 Maple Ave. Pulaski passed away on September 13, 2022 at her home after short illness.
Born June, 1, 1938 in Syracuse the daughter of Ralph Henry & Goldie Belle (Greenfield) Walters. She was a fifth-generation resident of her family home, and a core member of the Maple Ave. neighborhood. She attended Pulaski Schools.
Rosalie was married on July 8, 1961, to William “Bump” Zufelt. The couple raised a family of three children. Rose had worked at the Randall Hotel for several years as a young lady. She later prided herself on being a housewife, caring for not only her three children, but several of the neighborhood kids who adored her. Rose and several of the ladies on Maple Ave had an informal “coffee club” and visited one another regularly. The family homestead was also occupied over the years by several aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Rose is survived by her daughter Shelley Joss, who lived with her and assisted her. Two grandchildren: Morgan Joss (Robert Bellomo) of New Haven and Melissa Frazier (Justin Bridges) of Watertown. One great granddaughter. Lilla Rose Bellomo, and several nieces and nephews. Three special neighbors: Michelle Stainton, Billy Stainton (Courtney) and Caroline Stainton. Rose is also survived by one 1st cousin, George Pfluger of Altmar, and a son in law Thomas Frazier of Pulaski. She was predeceased by her husband William (1994) daughter Sheila Frazier (2020) and son William Zufelt (2016).
A celebration of Life will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Pulaski on Saturday October 8, 2022 at 11am followed by a luncheon in the church hall. In leu of flowers the family asks donations be sent to St. James Church 24 Lake St., Pulaski, NY 13142 towards the Thanksgiving and Christmas community meals.
A private burial will be held at Sand Hill Cemetery, Daysville at the convenience of the family.
