Ronald J Olin

Ronald J Olin, 85 of Orwell passed away Friday October 28, 2022 at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home in
Watertown.
Ronald was born September 30, 1937 in Syracuse, NY to Clinton and Hazel (Riley) Olin. He graduated
from Sandy Creek High School in 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1963 and was
stationed in Germany. Ronald married Veronica Potter October 5, 1963 in Orwell, NY. He was a machine
operator at Fulton Boiler Works in Pulaski for 32 years, retiring in 1999.
Surviving are his wife Veronica, son William (Darcy) Olin, Watertown, daughter Rhonda Olin, Orwell, 2
grandchildren Andrew Olin, Hastings, Alex Olin, Watertown. Ronnie and Veronica took in a number of
foster children over the years. Two special foster sons, who lived with them for over 10 years are Ryan
(Denise) Hitchcock, Pittsburgh, PA and John (Joni) Whitehouse, Goodrich, TX.
Ronnie enjoyed 23 years of retirement and loved spending time working in the yard, riding his 4-wheeler
and being Mr. Fix It around the house. Some of his favorite times were when the family gathered for
dinner, especially when desert was apple pie.
There are no calling hours or services. Burial will be private.
