Ronald La Rock Obituary

Ronald R La Rock, 62 of Parish passed away suddenly Friday April 9, 2021 at his home.

Ronald was born November 16, 1958 in Baltimore, MD. to Lillian La Rock. He attended Sandy Creek Central School. Ronald married Carol Brosch May 9, 1992 at the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Ronald had worked for Ribstone Silo, Blount Lumber Company and Schoeller Technical Papers for many years and shop manager at Metallo Automatic Sprinkler Company. In 2003 he graduated from the Police Academy at SUNY Canton and worked at the Sackets Police Dept., Special Deputy at Oswego County Sherriff’s and Ft Drum Security.  He was a 20+years member of the Sandy Creek Fire Dept. and served as President, 1st Lieutenant and Assistant Chief.

Ronald loved life, his animals and enjoyed riding his Harley, cars, hunting, loved being outdoors and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his wife Carol; sons; Mike (Amanda) and Don (Amy), grandchildren, Kallen, Kaitlyn, Hayden and Maylee; in laws Rita and Wayne Beaver, Scott and Nancy Brosch, Tom and Linda Brosch, Gerhardt and Diane Brosch, nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends.

Calling Hours will be Friday April 16 from 4-7pm at the Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek. A Graveside Service will be Saturday April 17th, 10am at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Masks and social distancing are required. A reception will be at the Sandy Creek Fire Hall following the burial.
