Richard R Ward

Richard R Ward, 79 of Phoenix and formerly of Lacona, passed away Monday November 16, 2020 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

Richard was born July 9, 1941 in Watertown, NY to Richard and Madge (McCrimman) Ward. He married Helen Tousant October 16, 1960 in Mexico, NY. He was a mechanic for Red Star Express and Springer & Bench in Auburn for many years and later returned to operate the family farm in Lacona.  Richard was a member of Fulton Christian Fellowship. He earned his pilots license and enjoyed flying at the Oswego County Airport and also enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his wife Helen; his children Richard (Phoebe) Ward, Orvis Ward, Albert (Dorine) Ward, and Patricia (Ryan) Robbins; sisters Lillian Turner and Vivian Kitrich, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Viola Towne.
