Philip Kline Obituary

Philip B. “Bud” Kline, 93, of Sandy Creek, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Born on August 9, 1932, in Boonville, New York, he was the son of Philip and Marie (Tanner) Kline. Bud attended Pulaski High School and proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, including service in Korea. He married Marilyn Jones on November 12, 1955, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Pulaski, New York. Bud was a founding member of the Lacona VFW and was proud of his military service. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Oswego County Highway Department for more than 30 years and also served on the Sandy Creek Town Board for many years. Alongside his son Phil, he operated a tree service business for two decades. Bud enjoyed hunting and spending time at his camp on Sandy Pond.

He is survived by his two sons, Philip (Leslie) Kline and Michael (Mary) Kline; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Kline; and many dear friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 2023, and by his sisters, Norma McMullen and Virginia Hayden.

Services will be private. Burial will take place in Pulaski Village Cemetery.
