Patricia M Black

Patricia Mae Black passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025 in Malone, NY at the age of 83.

Mom married our father Stan in 1959 and went on to raise 4 kids, with the family living most of their years in Sandy Creek/ Lacona, NY. She operated a hair salon in a shop out of our house for a time and later worked in the Sandy Creek school cafeteria for 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, crocheting and was an avid reader. Aside from being a loving mother and grandmother, Mom will be remembered most of all for her feisty and fun loving character. She laughed easily and was famous for her short outbursts of temper, which most often brought laughter from the onlookers. We will miss you Mom.

Mom is survived by her husband Stan, children Mike (Kelly) Black, Beth (Mark) West, Todd Black and Kellie (Andrew) Ridgeway. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Harriet Wahlrab and sisters Carol Aldrich, Phyllis McKenzie and JoAnn Brooks.

Calling Hours will be Sunday May 25, 2025 from 1-3pm at Summerville Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
