Mark L. Coffin, 65, of Kentucky, passed away on February 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Palm Bay, Florida.
Born on October 10, 1959, Mark was the son of the late Robert L. and Norma Coffin of Lacona, NY. On August 30, 1998, he married Carol Ann Bowman, and together they split their time between Kentucky and Florida. Mark and Carol Ann were devoted members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Stanton, Kentucky.
Mark was a talented woodsman, builder, and fabricator, with a particular gift for finish carpentry. He had a witty sense of humor and found joy in making others laugh.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ann; his son, Mark R. Coffin; his granddaughter, Jocelynn Peck; his sisters, Linda Dailey and Sandy (Henry) Pettit; his brother, Robert E. (Susan) Coffin; his in-laws, J.B. and Carolyn Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was predeceased by his son, Michael A. Coffin, from a previous marriage to Lisa Saucier; his brothers, Larry and Lyle Whaley; his sister, Laurie Fox; and his grandparents, Ernest and Hazel Coffin. Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service at Orwell Evergreen Cemetery is planned for this summer, followed by a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
