Mae C VanRy, 99 a resident at Summit Village and formerly of Orwell passed away Monday October 14, 2019.
Mae was born March 15, 1920 in Camden, NY to Warren and Nellie (Whimple) Charbonneau. She graduated from Camden High School in 1938. She married Arthur VanRy in Camden. The couple lived in Camden and operated VanRy Dairy before moving to Sandy Creek and then to Orwell. Mae was the Assistant Manager at Lincoln Bank in Pulaski until her retirement.
Mae enjoyed painting and sewing quilts.
Surviving are her children; Alice Walker, MO, Sayles (Toni) VanRy, Orwell, Jacoba (Richard) Spearance, Orwell, Warren (Elaine) VanRy, Orwell, David (Leda) VanRy, Orwell Patricia (Tom) Perrine, GA, Dora (Tony) Carpenter, GA and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and her son John.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Orwell Town Hall October 26th from 1-4pm.
Donations may be made in her honor to the Orwell Fire Dept.
