Lyle E Wood

Lyle E Wood, 78 of Orwell passed away at the home of his daughter Gina under the care of Oswego County Hospice and his family.

Lyle was born November 11, 1942 in Syracuse, NY to Chauncy and Jenny (Tyler) Wood. He attended Mannsville School. Lyle worked at several farms in the area and Key Pallets in Mannsville. He was a Jack of All Trade and Master of Many. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering.

Surviving are his children Gina Albrecht (William Finch), Arlene Halsey (Joe McMullin), Richard Wood (Billie Jo), Ray Wood, Charlotte Martin (Jason), a sister Phyllis, brothers Richard and David, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lyle was predeceased by his brothers Ralph, Robert, Ronald and Erwin and his ex-wives Peggy Wood and Mary Taylor.

Calling Hours will be Thursday April15, 2021 from 4-6pmat the Summerville Funeral Home with a Funeral Service at 6pm. A reception will follow the funeral service at the Mannsville Fire Hall.
