Leonard C Cole

Leonard C Cole, 92 of Lacona passed away June 1, 2023 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY.

Leonard was born June 15, 1930in Ellenburg, NY to John C and Catherine I (Dominy) Cole. He entered the United States Army in 1951 and served until 1954 which included a tour in Korea. After returning from his service, he married Joyce Mae Tyo October 16, 1954.  She passed in 2001. He was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union Local 545 for 65 years.

Leonard was a long-time member of the Mad River Club and was Sportsman of the Year in 2004. He enjoyed going to camp, hunting, trapping, and fishing.

Surviving is his children; Duane Cole, Greg Cole, Cindy (Mitchell) Bice, Lisa (Randy) Donahue, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, siblings Maggie, Joan, Doris, Sharon, and Johnny. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce and siblings Ken and Leah.

A Graveside Service will be 12 noon Thursday June 8, 2023 at the Boylston / Sandy Creek Cemetery.
