Leona M (Harvey) Beaumont

Leona M Beaumont, 65 of Lacona passed away Saturday May 28, 2022 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. 

Leona was born February 20, 1957 in Rome, NY to Vivian M. Harvey Sr. and Bettie (Stewart) Harvey. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1975 and went on to complete a degree of Computer Programming at Syracuse University. Leona was predeceased by her husband William H. Beaumont, her father Vivian, and sister Ellen Harvey.

Leona was a proud supporter of our military service men and women.  She was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.  She loved crocheting blankets for veterans and nursing home residents. 

Surviving is her son, Robert (Deana) Van Allen, daughter SueMarie (Cory) Bellis, daughter LeeAnn (Al) Johnson, granddaughter Dorothy Searles, mother Bettie Harvey, her brothers Vivian Harvey Jr, Albert (Amy) Harvey, Clinton Harvey and her sisters Bethel (Denny) Mothersell and Jean (John) Smith as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Calling Hours will be held at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, NY, Friday June 3rd from noon to 1pm with a Celebration of Life at 1 pm at the funeral home.
