Lena G. Brosnan March 3, 1941 – February 10, 2025 Lena G. Brosnan, 83, of Mexico, New York, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego.
Born on March 3, 1941, in Pulaski, New York, to Bertram and Dorothy (Corey) Hall, Lena excelled academically and graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1959. She later married the love of her life, Daniel Brosnan, with whom she built a life centered around family, faith, and service. Lena dedicated many years to her community as the Tax Assessor for the Town of Richland. She was also passionate about teaching and shared her knowledge through sign language instruction, cake decorating classes, and as a devoted Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; her two sons, Scott (Shelley) Brosnan and Daniel Brosnan, Jr.; her sister, Sue (Nelson) Lewis; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by burial at South Richland Cemetery. Lena will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and community.
