Keith C. Riley, 80, of Richland, New York, passed away on November 3, 2025, at University Hospital Community Campus in Syracuse.
Born on February 23, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, Keith was the son of Elmer D. and Frances C. (Carr) Riley. He was a 1963 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. He went on to attend Mohawk Valley Community College before transferring to Utica College at Syracuse University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
Over the years, Keith held various positions in Syracuse, ultimately working in Printing Services at Syracuse University.
He was predeceased by his parents and his older brother, David Darrell Riley. He is survived by his sister, Sharon F. Riley, who will miss him deeply.
Keith was a lifelong music enthusiast with an extensive collection of recordings. He also loved playing guitar and took pride in his collection of instruments. A devoted reader of car magazines, Keith was well-versed in automotive specifications and developments. He found great joy in nature—feeding backyard birds, observing osprey at the reservoir, and listening for ravens whenever he stepped outside. He also loved taking long country drives, exploring new places, and collecting paper maps, which he treasured.
There are no services at this time. Burial will be in the spring at Richland Cemetery.
