Jennifer L Thornton

Jennifer L Thornton, 45 of Parish passed away at her home Friday October 2, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Jennifer was born December 1, 1974 in Oneonta, NY to Richard and Barbara (Dibble) Lee. She was a graduate of New Belin High School in 1993 and earned her Master’s Degree in Business at Clarkson in 1998. Jennifer married Matthew Thornton April 21, 2001. She worked as a Project Manager for Heritage Homes in Liverpool.

Jennifer was a Girl Scout Leader for 2 troops for many years. She loved the outdoors, traveling, her pets but most of all her girls.

Surviving are her husband of 19 years Matthew, her daughters Jocelyn and Melanie, her parents Richard and Barbara, a brother Adam Lee, Jennifer’s second mother and Father, Ann and Floyd Thornton of Edwards, NY and two sisters Nicole Thornton-Granger and Brenda Thornton.

Donations may be made in her honor to Hasting Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made directly to the family to help with expense or for the girl’s college funds.

Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
