Janet L Lawless

Janet Lee Lawless, 56, of Central Square, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep May 5, 2023 at her home.

Janet was born on July 10, 1966, in Newburgh, NY, daughter of the late Lawrence Lawless and Lynda (Fitzmaurice) Purdy.  She attended Newburgh Free Academy.

Janet enjoyed spending time with family, soaking up the sun at the beach, and bird watching. She also loved animals of all kinds, Barry Manilow, and Winnie the Pooh.

Among her survivors are her fiance James Boyson; three sons, Robert Thompson III, Theodore (Jaime) Thompson, and Joshua Thompson; three grandchildren, Hayla-Anne Thompson, Avery Thompson, and Molly Thompson; siblings Lawrence Lawless, James (Daisy) Purdy, and Dorothy (Michael) Smits; several nephews and nieces.

Services will be held Friday May 12, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Summerville Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow immediately afterwards at the Mannsville Fire Hall.

Arrangements are entrusted to Summerville Funeral Home,  Sandy Creek,  NY.

In lieu of flowers,  donations may be made to the Lioness Club, or any local fire department, ambulance service, or animal shelter.
