George E Darling

George E Darling, 70 of Redfield passed away Sunday November 4, 2018 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

George was born October 18, 1948 in Gloversville, NY to Louie and Bertha (Houghton) Darling. He had worked at Omega Wire for several years and later for Oswego County Highway Department until he retired in 1997.

George was a member of the Redfield Fire Dept. for 30 years. He enjoyed camping and was an avid Mets fan.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Barbara; children Tim & Wendy, George & Chere, Wendy & Richard, Rob & Melissa; grandchildren, Jamie, Laura, Chelsea, Shania, Ryan, Ryan, Autumn, Levi, Michael, Brandan, Marissa, Richelle, Adrian, Morgan, Samantha, Kendall and Madison; great grandchildren, Jaeden, Blake, Mason, Liam, Landon and Colley; siblings; Patsy & Lloyd Trumble, Williamstown, Linda & John Bush, Sandy Creek, Toni Darling, Sandy Creek, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents and a brother Paul.

Calling Hours will be Thursday November 8th from 4pm – 7pm at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. The Funeral Service will be Friday November 9th at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Redfield Village Cemetery.
