Eldon R. Evans, 91 of the Town of Boylston passed away January 28, 2026 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
He was born in Dark County Ohio and a resident in the Dayton Ohio area for most of his life, where he grew up on a family farm.
After graduating from High School Eldon trained as a plumber but never lost his love for farming. He was employed by Johnson Controls for several years and then opened his own plumbing business. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Dayton.
Eldon was a member of the Masons, The Moose and the Lorraine United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir. He was also a Karaoke singer and performed in various places from Pulaski to Watertown.
Eldon was predeceased by his parents Warren Sylvester Evans and Sylvia Lorena nee Libecap, a sister Treva Siden-Stricker and a daughter Rae Jean Kenrick. He leaves two daughters Bobbie Burgess (Mike), Becky Szabo (Joe), 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and his partner Dawn Towne.
Services will be March 11, 2026 at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Calling Hour at 10am and Funeral Service at 11am, Pastor Suzanne Finch officiating.
There will be a reception at the Lorraine Methodist Church at 12;30pm.
