Elaine C Barnard

On Monday June 26, 2023, Elaine C Barnard, 87 of Altmar, NY passed to Heaven with her family by her side at St Luke’s Nursing Home in Oswego.

Elaine was born September 28, 1935 in Richland, NY to Hugh and Isabelle (Warren) Cummings. She graduated from APW School in 1953. On July 3, 1954 she married James Barnard, Jr in Altmar, NY. Elaine had been employed by Oswego County Mutual Insurance in Parish, NY until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Cynthia (Joe) Banach, Lori (Kevin) LaPine, Scott (Kathleen) Barnard, Bruce (Cary) Barnard, Nancy (Joe) Piraino and Gary (Lisa) Barnard, 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons Daniel (Valerie) Barnard and Mark David Barnard and her sisters Patricia Meredith and MaryAnn Christmas.

A Calling Hour will be held Friday July 7th from 2-3pm with a Funeral Service at 3pm at Summerville Funeral Home, 1997 Harwood Dr. Sandy Creek, NY. Burial will be private at Altmar Cemetery.
