Carol Tryon Obituary


   Carol Jean Tryon, widow of Frederick Tryon, married March 31st 1973, was born to George and Kathryn Snyder in Oswego May 2nd, 1944. She passed February 8th, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Carol is survived by here three children, Philip "Tony" (Tammy) Gioia, Ann (Steven) Bechler, and Lillian (James) Stinson, her grandchildren Christy Vobruba, Tiffany Greeney, Daminica (Ken) Brown, Lucinda (Joseph) Richardson, Marcus (Christy) Gioia, Veronica Vobruba, Bishop Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Shyanna Phillips, Xander Gioia, many step-grandkids and great-grandchildren, her brother Dennis Snyder. and sisters Geraldine (Francis) Falanga, Marian Henderson, Kathleen (Michael) Amedio.

Carol was predeceased by her husband Frederick Tryon, sisters Ann Moody, Ellen Bavaqua, Deborah Baum, Patricia Snyder and brothers Thomas Snyder and Kevin Snyder.

Carol lived in Oswego for many years before moving to Boylston. This is where she found her calling in the kitchen, where she was known as "Carol the cook" in the Sandy Creek and Sandy Pond areas. Working for Pine Diner, Snackary and Brewsters (TC Brewsters). She retired to open "Tryon's Chuck Wagon" in their backyard next to the Boylston Trailhead, a popular snowmobile and ski trail.

A celebration of life is to be held end of April.
