Carol A. Martin passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Oswego Hospital.

Carol was born September 20, 1941 in Oswego to Raymond and Arlis (Bushaw) Filkins. She attended Pulaski Academy and Central School. Carol married Philip C. Martin in 1960. She was a homemaker for years and later worked for, and retired from, Oswego County Opportunities Inc. as a Kitchen Manager.

Surviving Carol are children; Jeffrey Martin, Timothy (Valerie) Martin, Lisa (Gerry) Derouchie, Brian (Amanda) Martin, and Bruce Martin and significant other Rene Tuttle; grandchildren; Chelsea Derouchie, Ryan (Alycia) Martin, Aaron Martin, Travis Martin and Hannah Martin; great-grandchildren; Avery, Riley, Hunter, Lilly, Ryker, Rowan and Sadie Grace; brother; Thomas (Beverly) Filkins; neice Jennifer (Ken) Crotty; nephew TJ Filkins. Carol was predeceased by son Phillip, husband Philip and granddaughter Tiffany.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Oswego Hospital ICU staff for their exemplary care of their mother.

At the request of Carol, there will be no service. A double burial for Carol and Husband Philip will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Richland Cemetery.
