Barbara J Hamilton

Barbara Hamilton, 93 of Pulaski, passed away Thursday May 9, 2024 at Upstate Hospital. She was born May 22, 1930, in Rochester, NY to Archibald C. Carris and Rheta (Hazard) Carris. After graduating from Charlotte High School she trained to be a Registered Nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She married Robert Hamilton April 11,1953, in Rochester, NY. She was there for polio patients, practiced nursing at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY and other medical facilities in Redondo Beach, CA. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of St James Episcopal Church in Pulaski and was active in The Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by his son Robert (Donna) Hamilton, daughter Joanne (Gary) Petroske, 7 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren and many friends including her closest friend, Diane Manwaring, who was a special part of the family.
