Aleata M Leete, 79 of Lacona passed away March 31, 2024 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY.
Aleata was born April 4, 1944 in Saranac Lake, NY to Reginald and Vironica (Quirk) Howley. She graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1962, Oswego BOCES in 1975 as an LPN and later from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing as an RN. Aleata served in the US Naval Reserves HM Corpsman from 1986-1995. She has worked at hospitals in Watertown, Syracuse and Oswego and retired as a private duty caregiver.
Aleata married Roland J. Duplantic on September 1, 1962, that marriage ended in divorce. She later married Charles W. Leete October 12, 1971 in Oneida, NY, he died in 1980. Charles R Bremm has been her companion since 1988.
She was a member of St Frances Church in Lacona and Christ Our Light in Pulaski and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital, TOPS co-leader, nurse for Rural and Migrant Ministry, Richland , Unity Acres, Orwell and the Soup Kitchen in Lacona.
Surviving is her companion Charles Bremm and many nieces nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her previous husbands Roland Duplantic and Charles Leete, her son Joseph I Leete and her sister Therese M Sochia.
A Memorial Service will be Friday April 12, 2024, 11 am at the North Country Christian Church in Lacona.
