Mary A Washburn

Mary A Washburn, 80 of Lacona passed away Sunday September 22, 2019 at University Hospital in Syracuse.

 Mary was born December 4, 1938 in Pulaski, NY to Samuel O and Irma P (Pratt) Mattison. She graduated from Parish High School in 1958. She went to nursing school at St Joseph’s Hospital and became an LPN. She worked at St Joseph’s Hospital for 28 years.

Mary enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Surviving are her children Theresa (Randy) McNitt, Tamara (Brian) MacVean, Tom (Marsha) Washburn, siblings, George Mattison, Jean Densmore and Arthur Mattison, two step children; Patricia Washburn and Gary Washburn, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

 She was pre deceased by her first husband Michael Van Buren in 1962 and her second husband Charles Washburn in 1996 and her son Samuel Washburn in 2013.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 28th, 11am at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
