Margaret “Maggie” Potish, 93 died April 28, 2019 at St Luke’s Nursing Home where she had resided for five years.
Margaret Arlene Ridgeway was born in Boylston April 20, 1926. She was the eleventh child of twelve born to John and Anna Ridgeway.
Maggie graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in 1943. On November 9, 1943 she married Victor V Potish of Port Ontario. They built a home at Sandy Pond and raised their four daughters.
Maggie was a member of the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church and was active in CARE group, Cable Trail Aux. #8534 and volunteered at the Friendship Shop for twenty years.
Maggie is survived by daughters; Nancy Ridgeway, Paulette (Gaylord) Lindsey, Peggy (Frank) Manchester, Vicki Affinatti, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and nieces and nephews.
Maggie was predeceased by her husband of seventy-two and a half years, Vic; a son in law Donald Ridgeway; her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
The funeral service will be Saturday May 4, 2019 at 12 noon at Summerville Funeral Home, a calling hour will precede the service from 11-12. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek
