Leo Amyotte Obituary

Leo P. Amyotte, 100 formerly of Pulaski passed away at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.

Leo was born April 28, 1918 in Huntington, Canada son of the late George and Minnie (Langlois) Amyotte. He was educated in Constable, NY. He served in the United States Army from January 1943 -November 1943. Leo married Mabel S Compeau November 7, 1944 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brasher Falls, NY. They lived in Brasher Falls until moving to Pulaski in 1985.

He was employed by Alcoa in Massena, St Lawrence Central School and Treadway Inn in Canton retiring in 1977. Leo was a communicant of Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski, and a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, Pulaski.

Leo is survived by his wife Mabel; 3 sons gale and Sharon, Oswego, NY, Jay and Joann, Norfolk, VA, Mark and Rita, Lexington, NC; four grandchildren and a sister Edna Marcellus, Fl. He was predeceased by 4 brothers, and a sister.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ Our Light Church in Pulaski Saturday December 15th at 10am. Burial will be at St Patrick’s cemetery in Brasher Falls in the spring.
