Kay Elaine Dealing, 74, of Sandy Creek passed away February 11, 2018after a short illness.
She was a graduate of Sandy Creek Central School and received a Bachelors Degree in English from Syracuse University. She taught art at South Jefferson Central School prior to becoming the librarian at Annie Porter Ainsworth Memorial Library in Sandy Creek. She loved books and kept up on the latest literature for herself and the library’s patrons. She was an avid crafter, as well as a baker, making many items for friends and family. Kay was a member of the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. She was known for her sense of humor and her thoughtfulness towards others.
She was predeceased by her father, Alfred Dealing, her mother, Janyth Dealing and her brother, Ronald Dealing. She is survived by her nephew, Brett (Jessica) Dealing, her niece, Jarona (Milos) Leopold, a great nephew and several cousins.
Calling Hours will be at the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church, Thursday February 15, 2018 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with the Funeral Service following at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church.
