Betty E McDougall

Betty Elizabeth Bachar McDougall, 83, of Sandy Creek NY, passed April 25, 2018 joining her parents Michael & Elizabeth Sefca Bachar; her husband Jim, her sister Nancy and her nephew Mark Bachar.

Betty was born in Syracuse NY, May 15, 1934, when the apple trees were in full bloom, according to her mother. She attended Mottville School, then Sandy Creek Cental School (SCCS) graduating in 1952.

For many years Betty was Corresponding Secretary for the SCCS Alumni Association.

She was employed by General Electric in Syracuse for 10+ years, then joined General Crushed Stone in Lacona, as the Weighmaster/Clerk, until her retirement.

Betty was a member and Past Matron of the Lake Ontario Chapter #124, Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her children, Donald (Barbara), Penny (Jon) Zufelt, Martha (Bill) Hames, and John; grandchildren Jon Erik (Anastasia) and Heidi Britt Zufelt and Jessica (Steve) Sullivan; great grandchildren Eva, Isabelle and Sophia; brothers Bob (Arlene) and Tom; sister Cynthia; Aunt Lucille Sefca of Skaneateles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Calling Hours will be held May 15, 2018 from 1pm-2pm with a Memorial Service at 2pm at the Funeral Home.
