Edison Jordal Obituary

Edison Roy Jordal, 78 years old lost his courageous battle with Lukemia on February 26, 2024.

Born on November 9, 1945 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY to Otto Frances Jordal and Alrene May Brothers.

He graduated from Mexico High School in 1964, joined the Army in 1965 and served in the Vietnam War. He received a National Defense Service Medal, 2 O/S Bars, Vietman Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Expert Badge Rifle M14. He seved until 1971 and received an Honorable Discharge.

On July 15, 1967 he married Carolyn Mae Jackson of Mexico, NY. He had his first son Daniel on October, 29, 1968 and his second son Darren on December 29, 1969.

Ed was an excellent mechanic, he worked at several different dealerships and in 1977 started Ed Jordal’s Garage in Pulaski, NY. His wife Carolyn did everything by his side. They eventually took on U-Haul as well. Ed loved fixing up old John Deere tractors and riding motorcycles with his wife and friends.

Some unforeseen changes resulted in Ed going to work for Burdick Dodge Drivers Village for a period of time. Then to Fuccillo Chevy in Adams until his retirement.

Ed lost the love of his life Carolyn to an aneurysm on August 20, 2016. He truly loved Carolyn and was lost without her. They were inseperable for 49 years.

Ed was predeceased by his father Otto Frances Jordal and mother Arlene. His brother Jerry Melvin Jordal and sister Helen, his father in law Harry W Jackson and mother in law Bernice Crane Jackson, a grandson Edward Jordal and his step sisters Arlene and Amy.

Ed is survived by his sister Laurie Jordal, his sons Darren Edward Jordal and Daniel Stephen Jordal, his grandson Nathan Dylan Jordal and several cousins and relatives.

He had an infectious laugh and was well known in the community. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will held May 25, 2024 at the Edick-Hamlick VFW Post 369 , 5930 Scenic Ave, Mexico, NY from 12-4pm.
