Robert L.S. Rudd, 82, of Lacona passed away Monday September 4, 2017 at Samaritan Summit Village.

Mr. Rudd was born December 19, 1934 in Boylston, NY to Harley and Ruby (Mouck) Rudd. He graduated from Mannsville-Manor School and Bible College in Canada before entering the Air Force where he served for nine years. He worked as a Machine operator at Crouse Hinds in Syracuse for 28 years, retiring in 1997. He married Catherine Clark October 6, 1966 in Watertown.

Mr. Rudd was a member of the Pulaski American Legion, he attended the Sandy Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, military planes, Johnny Cash and his dog.

Mr. Rudd is survived by his wife Catherine; 3 children Randy (Jean) Rudd, Yorkshire, England, Brenda (Frank) Loomis, Mannsville, Charlotte Boykin (Brian Champion), Rochester, NY; 5 step children LoVerna (Harold) Lane, Adams, Catherine Cronk, Adams, Kimberly (Robert) Jenks, Stanton KY, Allen L (Barb) Mullin, Clay City, KY and Lisa (Merton) Maggy, Lacona and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (Haley) Carpenter in 2006, son in law Eugene Cronk in 2017 and three brothers Rosel, Ralph and Raymond.

Calling Hours will be Saturday September 9, 2017 from 12-2pm at Summerville Funeral Home with the Funeral Service at 2pm at the funeral home, Rev Doug Marshal officiating. Burial will follow at Boylston/Sandy Creek Cemetery.
